The knack of a good French Fry is good cutting! You want your Fries very slim and very neat – and it would be a fib to suggest that these lovely looking Chips in the picture are mine… Luckily my husband is a dab hand with a knife – but I reckon if I practised more often, I’d get there in the end…
Once (carefully) cut – lay the Chips out with a bit of space around each one (which can mean having to use a couple of baking sheets lined with greaseproof paper)
Brush each French Fry with a tiny bit of Rape Seed Oil – you really don’t need much
Sprinkle with a little Maldon Salt and cook the Fries in the oven for 20 – 30 minutes or until golden and crunchy. Serve immediately with ketchup or homemade mayonnaise!
