Replacing Pudding

I have to confess that when the big cholesterol reduction campaign started in our house, I was a bit miffed to see the hasty exit of cakes, apple pies, sticky toffee puddings and other things like Lemon Fool and Gu. However - you can still eat some reasonable puddings. These were our first discovery, and they are pretty good. Just don't eat them every night for a fortnight after you discover you can't eat saturated fat... this can lead to a reduced level of enthusiasm when you see a pack of them.

Ingredients:

  • Soya Beans, which are brilliantly fat free
  • Only 0.8g sat fat per pot
  • Zero Cholesterol

Alpro Soya Deserts are not in the refrigerated isle, disappointingly, but they are better chilled.  You can find them with other ‘free from’ items at supermarkets.

They come in a couple of flavours – I would heartily recommend the Smooth Chocolate and Vanilla, both of which are delicious (especially when eaten not too frequently – we went a bit mad initially).
